Im not a big fan of crimson red but i guess i will stay with it=) No big deal i guess.
One thing u can help me with is telling me how to do a fresh install of windows vista=)
Can it be done using Dell recovery disks and can i choose wich applications to install?
To be honest im happy with how fast it boot into windows the first time , compared to my old sony vaio it was extremely fast.
Not has much bloatware has sony`s laptops. But i still would like a fresh install.
Should i keep the Dell drivers for the 8800m GTX or change them?

Keep in mind i am not going to be playing the latest games , i will play world of warcraft ,DAOC and maybe UT3.

the restore discs you got with the machine are just the os, so no bloatware to remove besides the ms stuff that comes with the os. the guides here are a great help. if you want your computer to be like it was when you recieved it you can use the restore partition on the hard drive. i personally get rid of all the dell partitions and just put a fresh os on as soon as i get a new machine.

if you want to find the best drivers just hang out in the xps1730 thread here, they discuss all that stuff regularly.

i dont have the red wings yet, but i regularly swap my blue and gray out when i am bored. it is pretty simple once you remove the screws
