I am about to get a replacement for my M1730. But I have one question in mind, will they replace it with a M17X  or is there any chances that they will give me a refurbished M1730 as I can see a lot of them in Dell Outlet?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated as I just got myself a warranty for 460 for 2 years and its not worth it if I get a M1730 as a replacement :(

    Thank You

Is anyone getting M1730 or M17X as a replacement within 1 month?

No one has any way to know for sure man... just go for it and you will get what you get. Will it make a difference?

yeah it does make a difference. I was just wondering if there are any chances of getting a M1730 instead of M17X as a replacement for my M1730. Most of the people are getting M17X but I can see a lot of refurbished ones in their site so I was just afraid of it.

Dell replaced my fully equiped M1730 with a mid-equiped M17x earlier this spring. Dell did put the dual X-fire video card in but put the i5 dual core instead of the quad. Not real happy with the M17x since it is too heavy to do anything other than leave on the desk.

And the M1730 was ok to put on your knees without cutting off the circulation to your legs?!!?!?
