I noticed that when I play videos on my Dell XPS m1730 that it does just fine when it is plugged in. However, the second I take out the power supply from the computer and try to run it as a laptop the video gets very choppy. I can still hear it clearly but the video seems to stutter a lot. I have the performance set to high for when the laptop is running on battery mode but that doesn't seem to fix the issue. Does anyone have any solutions or need more info? thank you!

I believe this is a known issue with the laptop. Have yet to see a remedy for it..

Thats bs....there are 400 dollar computers out there that can do this simple task. Is that really just a "known issue"?
((Thanks for the contribution too, I'm just pissed that something like this would be a problem for such a powerhouse of a computer)) -
Are you refering to a DVD video or Blue Ray Disc? Also what program?

Itrs definately an issue as I had the same problem with my m1710 which I returned and also the replacement m1730 which again I returned for a full refund and got an AW M17 instead and low and behold dont have that issue anymore. Had a dell tech round 5 different times changing parts all to no avail. Good luck on finding a solution
