I just picked up an old M1730 to play around with that has the dual 8700 GPU card installed.

(Card with two fans visible in the laptop through the vents on the bottom along with the CPU fan, both GPU fans kick on when the laptop is running)

However Bios is only showing an 8700m with 256mb video RAM and only one GPU is showing up in device manager and the Nvidia software.

I've put the system through a video stress test and the 8700m that seen by the system is working perfectly.

So my question, is it possible for one of the two GPUs on the SLI card to die but still have the other running properly?
