OK, here is the stuff now I have a XPS M1730 x9000 3.0ghz. But want to upgrade my WiFi which is 3965 a pathetic WiFi card to have but I found from my service tag two that will work a lot better for my WiFi home and work and where I can connect. They are Dell 1505 or Intel 4965 which one is more of benefit to me the cards aren't that expensive to get either one. The Intel has 3 wires as my XPS has 3 wire setup but if I go with the Intel WiFi there is a 6300 unit that is also a 3 wire but is newer and half height I ordered the half height adapter but like to know will this 6300 Intel work being as it is newer as well?

OK, update I bought a 4965 intel for both my 1730 and 1710 and now I have ABGN wifi dual band. I did order half height wifi adapter for the 6300 but since the adapter I ordered wasn't what the picture for the ad shows I had to send the adapter back. Glad I didn't buy the 6300 wifi yet I have to look again to find the right adapter. But for now the 4965 is working good at 300 no 450 cause I don't have a higher rated router model to get the higher speed but that is coming though and just matter of time and money needed to buy it.
