Getting an XPS through my school, which apparently beats the price through the 25% off coupons. Will list config, then have a couple of questions.

    Processor: T8300 (2.4ghz)
    LCD: 15.4" LED 1440x900
    Ram: 4gb
Hard drive: 250 gb 5400 rpm
    Optical: Slot load dvdrw
    Video card: 256mb 8600mgt
Wireless: Intel next gen with bluetooth
Software: Adobe photoshop + premiere (free); norton security for 15 months
Warranty: 4 year with at home service, accidental, and lojack with $70 gift card

    Price: $1,268.68

    1. Anything I should change? Don't have too many customization options, but can change processor and HD.
    2. Anyway to stack coupons onto EPP?
    3. I can get a 128 gb SSD HD for $340.84.....while I won't be playing any games really, heat and battery consumption are important. Is it going to be that ridiculous of a difference? Thanks

    Thanks for the tip!

That reduces the SSD config to $1529.04, and the 250gb 5400 rpm HD to $1205.25

So thanks again, and if anyone has MORE stackable coupons, let me know hehe.

Also, would love more feedback, either on SSD or config overall. Thanks

I got the same thing through school. School price is definitely better, plus i got an extra 5% off EPP coupon, which works if you buy through school. I got specs below with 3 year service for $1266 + tax.

Fyi, this is NOT through a deal arranged by your so called "school", it is an Dell EPP deal from Temple University, leaked onto the net.

Umm, actually, it is through my so called 'school'; Columbia Law has a program specifically with Dell. Anymore more comments?

In this case, it would only save each person $20, since the 5% stackable coupon can only be used on one computer.
