Hello... my M1330 casing has bent up so that it can't stand solid. I think it feels less when it's hot and more when it's cold... I have 2 years of NBD remaining, and that was not my fault... can I request a repair or return? what is more one of the hinges (right) is very loose. Can i do something with this issue?

One more question: what do you recommend to clean the upper lid with? So that I wouldn't damage it?

    Greetings

The bent left corner seems to be common, what you can do is to carefully *twist* your computer to stand correctly, you can place 2 pennies, each on the opposite side, and then gently push the bent corner down ( thats what i did anyway )
But do it at your own risk :D

if not you can probably get Dell to replace your hinges and bent parts.

I clean my lid with alcohol (no rum, please :D ) and a tissue

    Hey there!

If you can't do the fix as Koer suggested above...take advantage of your warranty ~ that's what you paid for & they will fix it for you!

I have did that once. But the case become bent again in 1 week time.
What is more, I called Dell rep and they told me 'casing is not covered by w-ty, so are not the hinges' i guess I should call them once again... otherwise it's a great lappy and if they would repair those 2 problems i would be very happy with it...

sorry if that question is ignorant and laugh if you want :) but what kind of alcohol can I use to clean it? Can it be cosmetic spirit? like that u use for disinfection?

Thanks for help. Has anyone the experience with warranty repair of such problems?

I've got the same with my M4400...the bottom right corner doesn't touch the desk anymore somehow :( Would letting Dell replace it mean they'll try to switch the chassis? Not looking forward to having a tech guy taking the WHOLE system apart.

Not really...very often the laptop (the M4400 at least) doesn't fit back together just as well as it did before and there's the chance of the tech guy damaging/scratching up my stuff...i'll try bending it back myself first ;)
