Guys
I recently placed an order for the dell m1330 with 8400 graphic card (from UK Dell outlet)
Have Dell (UK) resolved the overheating problme yet?
if not, is there any test i can perform to ensure my m1330 would not overheat?
many thanks

people who had the gpu issue had their mobo replaced along with the new heat sink. however, there's not enough time to tell whether the new mobo/heatsink/bios will solve the issue.

Nope, there's no solution, it's a bad design on the part of nvidia. Any 8400gs is susceptible to failure, and there's nothing anyone can do about it.

You talking about the heat or the Video card?
two different things
for the heat just put a copper mod thing..it's easy!
and how can you test if it's overheating???
Play a game..if your fan is going all out like if it's trying to be a hurricane then ya lol your running hot...
I play WoW and it's rare for my fan to be on high
