    Hi,

I can get an EPP deal on a maxed out m1330 that seems pretty good. However, it includes the Verizon WWAN option which I do not need and I can't remove it in the online configurator.

Building up a machine from a weaker one ends up being more expensive because the discounts are not as high.

When buying by phone, can the sales people be more flexible and remove such options, or are they presented with effectively the same thing as the online customer? Can you send the WWAN module back after receiving the machine and get money back, or are they impossible to remove?

    Thanks.

I'm sure the sales reps CAN remove it and give you the discounts if they wanted, but I'm pretty sure they're told strictly not to do that and could probably get busted if they let people do that at leisure.

In addition, I think the whole point of the huge discount is BECAUSE of the Verizon card...the discount is to promote Verizon's service and I'm sure verizon and dell have a contract that verizon pays dell back some of the discounted pricing the consumer gets if he/she gets the Verizon pack....because in the end Verizon will be getting MAD money through monthly payment plans to use the wireless broadband card.
