    XPS m1330 worth the wait?

    My estimiated shipping date is 9/06/2007!

    I dropped over $2500 on the thing so should I wait over a month or get something else next week?

    I start school end of August and need it for work ASAP so it taking so long to get in my hands is a killer. Will the m1330 be THE notebook for a while?

    I'm gonna go pout now... :(

    Has Dell not come out with a statement or anything about what is going on?

    Even the Dell Direct stores don't have theirs. I wanted to see it but the guy was like, uuuuuuhhhhhhhhhh, it was suppose to be here last week, that's why we have this cool set up (cool stand in the mall with pictures and banners)... Just missing one small thing :S

    I think that it is worth the wait, but from what you have said you can not wait.

    Personally I think one of two things will happen in August.

    1. Dell will sort out the manufacturing problems. Because I think they are having trouble getting up to speed making the completely new laptop. And ramp up full production in early August and start shipping.

    2. Or they will keep stringing us along until September and beyond and just ship out systems one at a time like they are now. :p

    Option 1 seems more likely to me. Once they figure out what the hell they are doing I think systems will start shipping much more quickly, the question is when will they figure it out?

    Man oh man... I am A-M-A-Z-E-D at this stuff, lol...

    Looking at Dell's stock chart, it gained a lot when the m1330 was released (kinda) but recently it is taking a diiiiiiiive... Wonder why :)

    Well, as terrible as it is to walk into this situation with waiting so long, sounds like things could speed up soon... at least, that's what I'm going to try to go to bed thinking... Hope that 3 day old update on the other site doesn't become 4 days late and something gets said about the situation.

    I don't know about you, but I think it worth the wait for me...
    I am in a similar situation as you are... I buy this notebook for school and my college starts Sept 3rd.
    I order my July 16th and my EDD is Oct 12th.
