    Hello Everyone

I bought an XPS M1530 refurbished from American, specs are
    XPS M1530 2.2Ghz 4GB DDR2 nVidia 8600 15.4 WXGA+ Webcam (Older chipset NOT the Santa Rosa)

Im running Windows XP SP3, mostly doing video editing, 3DS max, After effects work, adobe suite. So here are a few curious things i've noticed.

    1) I'm getting this window lag when minimizing, maximizing software, not sure if this is RAM related, i've run MEMTEST and everything seems to be ok. Especially running the adobe suite im noticing this lag, After effects lags excessively, moving layers, importing items, anything in the window. Very strange.

    2) Running Hardware Sensory Monitor i'm getting temps of:

    IDLE:
    MOTHERBOARD - 66 Celcius
    CPU's - 61 Celcius
    GPU - 71 Celcius
    CHASSIS FAN - 3090 RPM

    STRESS:
    MOTEHRBOARD - Over 110 Celcius
    CPU's - Over 100 Celcius
    GPU - Over 110 Celcius

These seem a bit excessive? How does everyone else measure against this? I've read a couple of posts which suggest this is extreme. Is this because it's the older chip and not the Santa Rosa?

    3) When dimming the monitor for long periods i notice parts of the monitor remain darker, like a bar running through the centre.

    4) I've softmodded the 8600 geforce to a Quadro 570, and i can't seem to get the laptop to resume form sleep or stand by mode, instead i get the Black screen of death. This is pretty specific i guess so not sure if anyone else is experiencing this,

cheers to anyone who can lend some advice :) Anything will be much appreciated!
