I haven't been able to find a definitive answer to this. I've read that the thickness between the two are the same but I've seen specs listed as it being .09" slimmer. I know that there's a difference between the two on the m1330. I went from CCFL to LED on the 1330 and the difference in lid size was huge. Does anyone have pictures of a m1530 led and ccfl side by side with the lids closed. Also does anyone have experience with watching blu ray movies on a 1440x900 screen? thanks

no difference in width... only weight for m1530

anyways, DVD quality is good enough for a 1440x900 15.4" screen.... most people get the bluray to make their laptop a bluray player and output in a 40+" external TV using HDMI
