I have a Samsung screen on mine and I've talked to about 5 different people from Dell and they have all told me that I do not qualify for screen replacement!

    I told them:
    -light leakage
    -graininess
    -unclarity
-good expensive laptop should have better screen

I know lots of people on this forum in my same situation got Dell to replace the screen.

What did you say to Dell to convince them to replace it?

How long have you have the laptop for? Dell will replace it without any questions asked for up to 30 days. There is not reason they wouldn't/shouldn/t replace it.

Talk to them from Dell Chat, its easier to get replacements from them.

Be forewarned however, that you'll get a REFURBISHED screen. It's part of Dell's warranty service - any replaced parts are refurbished parts. And that means that it most likely WILL have issues too...

I'm not sure but,I think the replacement they send you is the same exact panel that came with your original config. I had my LG replaced once and they sent me a replacement with an LG.

Just say you don't like how it looks. and you want to return the laptop. then they might tell you .. would you like a screen replacement. if not. do return the laptop and buy again.

I'd say you're very lucky. I read someone's post where they had an LG which was then replaced with a Samsung. They weren't too happy :p
