    XPS m1530 with vmware and other virtual machines

    looking into a XPS m1530 with 4GB ram and dual core, does anybody run virtual machines on their laptop like vmware server, ms virtual pc or virtual box and how does it run? i think the only problem would be the screen size of the 15.4" display.

    I am using ms virtual pc on my m1530 running win xp sp2. Running at 800X600on a 1280X800 screen. Not too bad, runs pretty well, except I think hardware virtualisation is turned off in the bios.

    I use VMware Workstation on mine at 1680 * 1050 resolution.

    great but you only need hardware virtualization support if your vm software needs it like i know windows server 2008 hyper v needs it but vmware server, virtual box and ms virtual pc don't need it.
