    hey everybody

    i ordered my m1530 on june 2 with an estimated ship date of 6/26. my status now says it wont ship until the 2nd of july and arrive somewhere between the 7th and 9th... if i called dell up do you think they would upgrade me to a faster delivery service?

    any thoughts would be much appreciated

    This is a question for the order status forum. They have many conversations about the order,building, and shipping process. I would call and try but you will probably get the "we can't alter orders unless you cancel and order again".

    i had this problem they moved my delivery date 12 days ahead so i called them up saying it was for a birthday presant and amazingly it went in to production and got it 5 days later so you can try that if your despate for it!!

    I don't get why yours is taking so long. I ordered mine on 6/12 and received it 6/20.

    Hey, yes this can be done..It was done for me. My 1530 was in *production* had to be *refreshed* (cancelled) due to a part being on backorder. When it finally was back into the *build* process, they had told me it wouldn't change the original *shipping date*...Alas, it did..it pushed it out further.

    So, I called and asked them to please upgrade me to a *fast delivery* and they agreed to *next business day* at no extra charge.

    I know that other's have also been able to do this. Just call CS, and ask them what they can do to help you out, etc...be firm..but nice ;) :)

    And, if it works be sure to get all Case #'s involved, etc.

    alright. so. im set to get it tomorrow or the day after. no phone call. they just out of the blue said "your item has been shipped" and thats after they said it wouldnt ship until after the fourth of july. im happy even though it took exactly a month since i ordered it but ah well what can ya do? patience is key...and i know it will be worth it. (knock on wood)
