I was configuring a m1710 this morning and noticed they now have a 160gig HD SATA option, it doesnt list the RPM speed though...is it possibly a 7200rpm? Just curious...thanks

EDIT: it seems to be that it has also made its way onto the m1210 as well. Error maybe?

nope just 5200rpm most prob.... slim chance for 7200rpm.
-
I think I saw someone mention in another forum that it was 7200 -
It is 5200 rpm, just 5 dollars more expensive than the 100Gig 7200 rpm.
-
space density does a decent job of making up for the lower speed though...it'll probably be another year or two before they can get 160GB on a 7200RPM drive though.
-
isn't a 160gb drive considerably slower than say an 80gb one of the same speed?
-
Its a Western Digital, they just came out with a 160GB and ovously its at 5400 RPM!, just look at the price it should be less then a 100GB at 7200 RPM
