    Hello all,
Sorry in advance if it has already been posted but couldn't find anything, so...
I'm currently on the market for a new laptop, so was checking their website, found that there is a teaser going on there, it seems it's for their new XPS 13 and 15. Why do I think that?, because on their teaser page there is a link to their current 13 and 15...

There's also a sign up form on their site to get email updates: Coming Soon: A new way to see the world. | Dell

Shame they missed the 2014 holidays. I'm well overdue for a new machine (have been looking since August), and "Coming 2015" isn't specific enough for me to wait.

Looks like a refreshed XPS 13 (or even 15) with 4K detachable screen so it can get separated and work as a tablet (?)
    Interesting...

Was it just me or were these pretty much the lamest promotional videos of all time?

How did you get that from those videos? I got absolutely nothing...

It looks like a (very thin) laptop to me from the two videos. Also, the display bezels look very small. I sure hope it won't have the not so powerful Core M.

All I wanted is a refresh version of the XPS 15, they might leave the screen as is or upgrade to 4K. Improve the GPU from 750m to 960m (once released). And fix all issues that were affecting the older XPS 15 (coil wine, weak wifi, slow SSD, etc)

First teaser they draw a laptop in pencil, second teaser is just a thin high-res screen without any computer body :)
It's just my guess based on the above.

I am soon to be in a market for a new laptop as well, my current XPS 15 l501x is getting "old" and starts falling apart a little.
That, and it's so heavy, and "big". The new XPS 15 (9530) still looks very, very promising to me, but if a new one will come out in 2015.. I think I can wait a lil' more :D.

Depends on what it has to offer of course. I won't need a detachable screen for example. Neither will a touch display be necessary.
    - A more than good GPU (some gaming would be nice)
    - A more than good display (I paid €200,- extra for the FullHD screen back when I bought my l501x which I do not regret for one moment still).
    - Good lasting battery (the 9530 seems to do pretty good)
    - A light weight, but very well built like the 9530, would be very nice as well

I can't wait for them to announce the laptop. It's almost been 2 months since the teaser came out, I'd suspect them to be revealing the new laptops soon.
I can't find much information about it on the web yet, it's a pity.

Is there any info on when in 2015 the new Dell XPS 15 inch will be appearing? I assume this will be a real upgrade rather then a update? I get confused kind of new at this the Dell XPS with the numbers by them i.e 1501, 9530 or whatever are updates correct? meaning internal changes. The Dell XPS 15 will have internal as newer graphics card, newer faster SSD's of course a Broadwell process as well as other upgrades such as the 4k screen not sure about DDR4 I don't think that will come until skylark or USB 3.1 although that may depend on when its going to be released.

What I really won't is a 17inch version of this with a 4k screen but that's another subject.

Can't find any info on it yet.. It's a shame, I'm very curious.
I'm afraid we'll have to wait 'till the 6th-9th of January, for Dell to promote their new XPS line on the CES.

I'm hoping they solved the previous XPS line's build issues (coil whine etc.).
