I have some Samsung S24A350H monitors I have been using with M11xR1 for a while (no problem) and while I can get one to work with DisplayPort the second monitor via HDMI does not. Screen is detected but blank.

From looking at the "Advanced Settings" while in the display properties window (resolution change screen) the built in panel and the DPort are both utilizing the intel chip from the i5. HDMI connection is using Nvidia.... I take all of that as normal.

I am wanting to EXTEND not clone the screen so in theory this should work fine. Windows shows all three and even allows for proper resolution changes. I can send a window to the 3rd screen but there just isnt any display.

Where things go really screwy is in Nvidia control panel. Only one display shown and if I "Identify" it will indicate the laptop panel.

    Things I tried or noticed:
All detection in windows controls appear normal
Intel control panel of no benefit
Nvidia control panel does NOT show both monitors! <-- clue?
Tried two diff HDMI cables that worked with M11x
    M11x still works
2nd mon will work on Dport confirming it to be only HDMI issue
Drivers tried: 2xx, 266, 310 / Intel: orig and latest
    Disabled/Disconnected other screens
    Projector mode etc
Detection + "Send to vga anyway" for 4th virtual screen

I am NOT cloning but the outcome is same, a BLANK screen:

Hope this was not too confusing. Attached a couple of pics to illustrate.

Thanks! It is a legit question. I had two cables... 1.3b and a "High speed" marked cable. While you were posting I picked up a new cabled marked for high speed + ethernet + 3D just to test. Same result.

Wondering if its just a bad port or ??

Did not change anything.... had taken laptop away from desk for a while and hooked it all back up. 3rd display is on. Odd. Time will tell if it stays that way.

It lasted for about that time maybe next connect... until now: no.

Messing with pretty much everything driver wise. Regedits too (even the enum protected stuff)! Nope. Then suddenly connecting again it worked for a few seconds. Madness!

I don't actually think it is a port problem. grrr.

Just to update... problem still there after both nvidia and intel updates. Detects but no output.
