Hi everyone. Hope to contribute to the forums in the future, for now I have a question of my own.

Which memory is best for my build?

    Specs:

    Intel i7-740QM
    GeForce 435 2GB
    500GB 7200rpm HDD
    1080p res
    4gb DDR3 (want 8gb)

Since there are two channels, I'll need to get 2x4GB DDR3.

    Do I get the DDR3-1066 or DDR3-1333?

Also, know of any good deals? I only know of newegg.

    Thanks!

    Yes, 2x4GB.

    1333 for i7.

    I always use Newegg also.

As stated above, go for the 1333 RAM, the quad core i7 will be able to utilize the faster RAM.

No difference. I don't know why they bother to make a distinction. Get whatever is cheapest.
