Dell repair depot received my 1530 yesterday and they send it back today. It took them to check (fixed) the problem in one day?

I complained re: the heat issue of XPS1530, can they replace mobo in one day?

Also, what should I expect when I receive my 1530...I mean how many days or weeks this heat issue will show up again?

back in the day....a year ago or so mine was in for a mobo and the turn around time was close to a week...maybe a bit less...when you get it back I would start monitoring it right away and put it through it's paces and see how it handles it...cheers!!

A day shouldnt be hard if they had a tech and bench available. I can usually swap a board in a 1530 in under 45 mins. and I dont rush.

Hopefully they bench tested it and load tested it for a couple hours atleast though.

do you have advisable software I can use, that can measure GPU temp? I'm using windows 7 not sure if W7 have temp monitoring for GPU.

also what "temperature" should I look at that will show me I still have heat problem with 1530 after mobo replacement?

They would have their own hard drives for each model loaded with a windows installation that has the correct drivers.
