    Hi,

I got my XPS 16 in Jul 09 and just last month upgraded from Vista premium to Win 7 premium (Dell free upgrade disk).
Specs: Intel Core2 Duo T9550 2.66 GHz, 4 GB RAM, ATI 4750, 500 GB HDD, Blu-Ray read only drive.

All the drivers are up to date. After upgrading to Win 7, I faced a strange problem, my movies have started stuttering. It will just freeze for 1-2 seconds then play fine, then after 3-4 minutes freeze again and so on.
This happens with all the DVD's, Blu-ray disks and with all Software (I tried VLC, PowerDVD).
Also whenever there is a disk in the drive, it is accessed too frequently (I can hear the sound of it being accessed), even though I am not using the drive but still it is being accessed.
Tried searching on net for any reasons but found none.
So at last I am again here and hopefully you ppl can help me.
    Thanks.
