    XPS16 and My Dell Downloads?

    Hey guys, im glad to say i just joined the family this morning with the arrival of my new XPS 16, first thing i did was reformat it (after reading all the guides and what not on this site)

    then it was an hr debate about my video card with Dell support cause "we dont carry a ATI 4670", i beg to differ...

    anyway in my rage of reformating i never registered my computer on my dell downloads, aka im missing some of my software

    one of which is the facial recognition one, this along with the others is not on any disk that i got with the computer

    I also spoke to a dell rep who couldnt get me to connect to the site either and he said that my options are 1 - restore to dell default and register or 2 - try again in a week and maybe the server is updated since its a new purchase

    my question to you guys is, does anyone have a link/file that i could get some of these programs with?

    UPDATE- after calling dell and most of their reps being completely uslesss..they sent me some software in a bundle package

    I got power dvd, dell webcam, and some others, still no Fast Acess for my facial recognition..

    any suggestions?

    My Dell Downloads isn't working for me either. I was in a chat with tech support to fix a stuck disc and brought this to their attention. He mentioned that the problem is on their end so he would send me the CD's; PowerDVD, Roxio, and Facial Recog. You can call and ask that they send you a hard copy of the media or try My Dell Downloads later. I'm going to keep trying to register my laptop until the CD's arrive. Though I wonder if installing Dell Support Cener would help, may try that.
