Hello, can someone explain or post links of step by step instructions on how to adjust the awful blue tinge colour default?
I knew it was bad but didn't realise how bad it was until i put it beside my macbook, now its unbearable.

check what manufacturer makes your screen, that will play a part in how you apply those profiles. In the end I found out the standard sRGB looked best to me, however it's all personal preference.

That's an RGBLED I think. Look for the RGBLED display thread, you'll find a color profile in there.

Macbooks come pre-calibrated. PCs come pre-uncalibrated.

Are you sure that's right? A quick google search shows the SEC5441 is a WLED monitor for the XPS 133* or AW M11x series laptops, not the SXPS 164*.

Most of the XPS16 RGBLEDs were reported as SEC5448

lookup your service tag # on dell.com should list what kind of display it shipped with, such as mine stating:

1 91PW3 Assembly, Liquid Crystal Display, 15.6FHD, Low Cost, 1645/1647

What's your native resolution?? Some of the very first 1640s with the 3670 were shipped with Samsung WLED panels at 1366x768 resolution. Is that what you have?

Then it is WLED. I don't think anybody has made a profile for the Samsung 768p WLED, because so few people have it.

You could try my LG profile, linked to earlier by gpig, and see if it works for you. The main difference in that profile is a big cut to blue, so it sounds like it will fix your problem. It may not be perfect for your monitor, but if nothing else, it should be better than stock. If you don't like it, then you'll have to get a colorimeter and create your own profile.
