I am thinking of upgrading my stock wireless card which is Intel Centrino N1030, which has very poor performance with a more powerful Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260. I am wondering if it would be compatible with my laptop (properly recognized in BIOS etc.), and if the antennas incorporated in the laptop support the 5GHz band. My laptop is with expired warranty so this is not an issue and I am going to replace it by myself. As far as I can research the 6230 is the other option as upgrade but I prefer to buy an AC card.

    Questions:

    - Will the AC 7260 work in my XPS17 (L702X)?
    - Are there other options for a dual band AC card besides the 7260 and 6230?
