    Hi!

So I'm having a problem with an XPS M1330. When I plug the AC adapter in (which is the original adapter that came with the notebook) it says that it doesn't recognize the AC adapter. The error came just out of nowhere, it worked fine before, and the error came just this morning.
It says that in Windows (it also says that the OS will run slowly and the battery will not be charged) and it also says before booting to windows. Before booting it gives the option to run the onboard diagnostics tool. The diagnostics tool gave an error code 2000-0412 "Auxillary LCD cable not detected".

Could the problem be with the notbook or the AC Adaptor itself?

So I'm in a loss of what to do. Since the warranty is closed on sunday, I thought I'll turn here for possibly a quicker and easier fix.

    Cheers!

I had the same problem with my m1530 a Couple of time. I have Complete care so each time they said the problem was with the motherboard and they installed a new one. I just had the problem recently AGAIN. Instead of replacing the MoBo, for a FOURTH time, they sent me a Xps Studio 16 to replace the M1530. Apparently this is ONE of the many problems with most 1530 and 1330's. And dell has been replacing them with newer models. Call the warranty dept and see what they'll do.

If you have a warranty, call it in. If for nothing else, a record that you reported it before your warranty expired.
