    Hi,

I bought a DEll XPS 1530, 3gb, duo 2.4, nVidia 256m 8600M GT, etc etc, formatted it, installed XP on a partition, and its running slow. I can't figure out why, I suspect it may have not recognized all my RAM well or my HD, or something? The thing is everything looks fine in my device manager, no errors pop out.

Can you help me out with this, someone?

When you say running slow do you mean on boot up or in general windows use?

How much RAM have you got installed? How much RAM does the system think you have?

by slow what exactly do you mean ??

    1.) slow booting ??
    2.) slow application performance ??
3.) slow transfer operations (copy / paste)??
    4.) slow gaming performance ??

5.) all or some of the above ??
6.) none of the above :)

use a utility such as everest or hwinfo 32 and run a benchmark and report the scores here.

You haven't picked up some sort of nasty virus have you?

    Could be coincidence?
