    Hi,
I've got some trouble to get a stable connection to my router and I'd like to change my wifi card which is the 1502 by Dell.
The 1502 is a half size card, but is it possible to replace this one with a full size or do I have to use the extension port ?
Do you know a good card (maybe the intel 5300 which was an upgrade when I bought my laptop) that I could use ?

By the way, sorry for my poor english, i'm from France.

Intel 5300 is a good choice. It is half-mini-PCI-E wireless card. I have it on my Dell & it worked great. What is the brand of your router? Did you checked for other SSID which might broadcast in the same channel in your area? It could be low quality wireless card or problem with wireless AP compatibility or wireless radio frequency/channel which conflict with others.

I recommend either the Intel Wifi Link 5100/5300. 6x00 are a little overpriced right now...

I've had both the 5300 and the 6250 in mine, and they both work fine. I'd recommend the 6300 over the 5300, unless the price difference is over $10, as the 6xxx series is a bit better. My 6250 with only 2 antennas has better reception, signal strength, and speed than my 3 antenna 5300 had, the 6300 would be even better. If you're buying online, just make sure you don't get an ES (engineering sample) version.

The Intel cards are the best, I'd stick with them unless you have a specific reason not to. A lot of people have complained on this board about problems with the Dell wireless cards, which I believe are Atheros based.
