    Xps 1645 fan issue

    Everytimes i play game the fan go really loud, it is very noisy. When i exit my game it go down and back to silence. Is that normal for xps 1645 ? Can any1 tell me ?

    Yep, I 2nd that high speed fan operation while gaming is normal...if i remember correctly the fan can go up to 4,700 rpms? I had a problem with mine for awhile and the fan was stuck on all the time at 4,700 rpm...that was annoying as it was significantly louder than my desktop, took dell replacing the motherboard to fix it.

    After they replaced the motherboard the fan will now only kick into high when I am playing games (when it does it's still loud), before it was on constantly from when the laptop was open until it was shut and that was really annoying, when I would shut it down it was like silence would come over the room...
