    Since I've got the Macbook PRO, Im also looking to update my desktop (XPS Gen 3) and the 630 looks darn good...who has it?

    i think the specs look nice, but you can always get a much better deal by building your own desktop. I built my current one for $1,200, and If I would have went with Dell or HP, it would have been around $2,200. But if your not into building yourself, the Dell XPS desktops do seem good.

    Wait.... isnt this a laptop forum?

    Unless you want/need SLI, the XPS 420 (if you can still get a 8800GT in it) is a good hit. You might even want to look into the Vostro 400 desktop, if it has an 8800GT/GTS option available.

    Or build yourself.

    Dell currently has pretty good deal on it. 1299 system comes w/ 8800GT SLI.

    Be careful though...I'm 100% sure the basic XPS 630 does not include SLI, but it does have an SLI-two-slot motherboard.
