Ok my hard drive is a Western Digital WD3200bevt.... work great great performance, everything kool...... but makes some notice... i only notice it at night in a silent room... and the clicking is sometimes low and sometimes loud... but i have no problems but still del sent me a replacement, bt its a toshiba mk3252gsx... but i dont know... i dont trust toshiba... but is this western digital just noisy? or is a sign of failure? i mean i have 4 weeks with the system now... and no problems with hard drive... clicking sound since i first booted... so what do you guys recommend? any experience with these two hard drives? anyone with the clicking noise... and is just noise? no defect? thanks!

Many notebook hard drives have an audible click. Hitachi 2.5" drives are notorious for clicking, and it's perfectl normal. I have a Samsung 500gb I put in my m1330, and it's pretty darn quiet.

Well I don't really like Toshiba either, seems slower compared to other HDD brands. But the 120GB model in my 1420 has endured a year of use and a high drop, so I guess it's pretty reliable.
