First thing, I'm just about 100% sure the maximum resolution for the M1710's screen (regardless of the card) is 1920x1200, so try cutting down the resolution. I'm not sure why you can even choose that resolution.

Second, I'd recommend going with the latest drivers off of Dell's site. I know Dell recommends/strongly encourages (if not requires) using the drivers from their site. I'm using the latest Dell drivers on my M1710, and everything's fine. The only time I have graphics problems is for applications that don't like multi-core. In that case, you can just go under Task Manager, find the process of the application in question, right click, and choose "set affinity". Just uncheck one of the CPU's and that will fix that problem. Hope that helps.

Oh, I'm running XP Pro, by the way. If you're using Vista, good luck. From what I hear, there's lots of issues there.

P.S. If you are going to use a non-dell driver, MAKE SURE it is for the right operating system/specific card. The mobile cards are different from their desktop counterparts.
