I have read on www.engadget.com that new versions of
the INSPIRON range are coming out for the desktop range and a new 13 inch one for the XPS XPS ---- range - in July 2007.
Im dying to know if anyone knows anything about the M1710 being replaced by a newer version???
(also - the pricing keeps coming down, only 12 mnths ago, the 1710 was $6000, now u can get it for $3300 - thats a massive drop over 12 mnths)

Wouldn’t by any chance be related to another forum member with the call name Sydney Guy who was told off by the forum moderator for double posting about the same subject

Those constant new threads about the XPS M1710 are very familiar

So I guess you also have a third family member called Sydney Australia who is creating same subjects threads.

Maybe we should make a sydney_australia's questions thread? Might tidy things up.

And I would say yes, it's getting replaced soon. Look at the prices on Dell AU's website. Sale, sale, sale!

well i just got off the phone to my dell account manager here in the UK and i said to him that i do not want to buy another laptop until dell releases its santa rosa/dx10 inspirons or xps line and he said this...
The UK versions of the new inspiron line will be released after the current offer has been closed (they are currently running up to £120 off certain inspirons) which are due to end around 29/06/2007!!!
so we will just have to wait and see!!!
