    Well,
Just received my copy of What laptop in the UK.
Two page advert inside the magazine and a newspaper style insert inside for Dell products.
The two page inside had Studio Hybrid, Studio 15, Inspiron 530, Studio 17.
The newspaper insert had Studio 15, Inspiron 1525, Studio Hybrid, Studio 17, Dell V305W printer, Inspiron 530, Insprion 1525 (again!) XPS 420 and the Mini 9.

    No XPS laptops whatsoever.

Is this the beginning of the end for the XPS range?

    Could be,
Perhaps all the plastic has people upset.
HP laptops sure look good with all the metal but are so much heavier.

    We'll see.

    Uh-Oh, bummer coming.
I had a friend come to work and plugged in his HP Vista all metal, shiny black, looking solid and great. Then he lifted my lapdog up and said, "Well, it IS, a lot lighter than my all-metal laptop."
I did not realize the M1330 was all plastic. My friend then pressed in a couple of different places like the frame holding the screen and the palmrest area and I was so embarassed to find out this way.

But it is so much lighter than his HP metal beauty.

I don't think the xps line is advertised that heavily.

It's more of a laptop for those who know what they're after.

Up to now, the 1530 and 1330 have been in every Dell Uk advert

yea.....the xps isnt plastic at all its mostly metal and yet still very light, idk where your getting your info from chetanji, and every HP laptop ive ever seen was all plastic, i didnt even know they made a metal one. They are known for their sleek plastic designs. And i doubt they are getting rid of it just yet, i had a dell book come a few days ago in the US and it still featured XPS laptops
