    Yet another Dell XPS L702x throttling/overheating thread

    Hello. Last time i checked; power consumption was only around 50% of the maximal power consumption tested with aida64 stress test while I was playing games. This makes me wonder if either cpu or gpu is throttling down to combat heat. Heat seems to be an issue as the temperature as the cpu and gpu regularly reaches 95 and 80 respectively.

    As I was playing Battlefield 3 I noticed that power consumption peaked at 22W not the usual 45 ish W while temperature was 95 cpu and 80 gpu.

    Also, Should I repaste the GPU and CPU myself or call Dell and ask them to do it for me?

    Get dell to do it if you want to keep warranty....

    I was just wondering whether anyone else had noticed this and if I need to repaste my computer processors.

    I know about those tricks because I'm not new here :p
