Hi there, I've searched around and can't find the exact answer to some of my questions so I was hoping to get them answered here.
First of all, I purchased a 1530 Friday and was wondering if I could get some insight into how it will fare during video games, particularly WoW (really the only game i play a lot). Here are the specs:
64 bit OS
Processor:Intel® Core 2 Duo Processor T8300 (2.4GHz/800Mhz FSB, 3MB Cache)
Ram: 4GB DDR 2
256MB NVIDIA® GeForce® 8600M GT
Hard Drive: 320GB 5400rpm SATA Hard Drive
Also, what kind of issues do you guys have with shipping dates? Mine isn't expected to ship until 2/27 which seems like a long time to me. Thanks a lot!

hey man, firstly congrats on your new buy
the m1530 is a nice lappy, it will handle WOW very well, i dont play it, but similar games play VERY well, and in general you can get high settings on those
Dell overgoes on your shipping date, so you might receive it before the estimate date...
if you have any other questions dont hesitate to ask or send me a message -
thanks a lot! anyone else?

paper_wastage Beat this 7x7x7 Cube
WoW isnt resource intensive.. it'll even run on an IGP(integrated card)
[the 8600 card is a medium card, it should be able to run old games on high, newer games(Crysis, GTA IV) on medium resolution/medium settings
dell is usually conservative with their shipping dates, u'll usually get it earlirer -
I think you will fare very well with your 1530 on what you want it to do!!!
The shipping dates are usually over projected, to cover for any delays due to a part being on backorder from the manufacturer, or production problems.
That being said, theres a good chance it could ship sooner than the ESD for you!
Hope that helps!

Duke - I continue to be very happy with mine - it plays everything I have thrown at it (most recently COD4) with no problems. I was a little unhappy with three unremovable fingerprints on the (mine is blue) lid - but I have since covered the LCD with a carbon-fiber looking skin - and it looks fantastic. You'll probably want to get a cooler if you intend to game on it for hours on end - other than that you should be good to go.

thanks a lot everyone! and JellGeo, I already ordered a cooler pad off Ebay, just waiting for everything to arrive!
