sorry if i'm a bit off the topic...
my xps 15 is arriving soon (i hope...?), and i just realized with the size and the extra 9cell battery, it might not fit my backpack (i have a northface Recon if anyone has it...).

So... can anyone recommend me some good/decent laptop bag (not backpacks, preferably) for my new xps 15? :p

I'm looking for a bag that I can carry around to class, so preferably a size that can fit one or two notebooks inside..

I did find this Amazon.com: Belkin 15.4-Inch Messenger Bag (Jet/Cabernet): Electronics but seems a bit too small?

With the one your looking at & carrying to class you will want to measure closely, I would wonder if that will be a tight fit. That's a slim messenger & especially fitting notebooks, etc. : )

I think looking at 15.6" to 16" Messengers will prolly be your best bet.

On Dells configurator page for the XPS 15 these are a few of the recommends (w/in Messenger Bag range):

Evo Topload Case - Fits Laptops with Screen Sizes Up to 15.6-inch - Black/Red - $34.99

LEGACY Checkpoint Friendly Double Gusset Computer Case - Fits Laptops with Screen Sizes Up to 15.6-inch - Black - $49.99

    Targus A7 16' Slim Topload notebook case for 16" - $29.99

Brands like Belkin, Targus, Swiss Gear, Mobile Edge, and 5Dot (as @nomoredell suggested above), are good brands, etc :)

There is a nice Accessory thread floating around in the XPS forum here specifically for the XPS 1340/16xx's....has some nice suggestions in from our fellow forum users..Aaah ~ here it is!: Cases and bags for the Dell Studio XPS 1340 and 1640 You may want to take a look in there for some ideas :)

I use a Belkin Messenger for my 1647, I purchased from Dell, on a deal they had going at that time. They don't sell the one I have any longer, but here is something similar, link

    Hope that helps!

    Cin...

This is the bag I have right now, and I'm in love with it. So well built, waterproof, looks reasonably good, well padded, has a surprising amount of space. Even has a compartment specifically for your power adapter at the bottom and you'll still have room for a big binder after putting in your laptop. But, it's expensive. Well worth the cost imho.

I have this and after exhaustive research I definately made the right choice. Fits my SXPS16 beautifully and has more pockets than I know what to do with. It is probably the most well put together notebook carrier out there (backpack at least) and is sturdy beyond belief, it also has a lifetime warranty which eases the mind.
