    add complete care to dell 1730??

    im looking at a system that was bought by a guy on june 6th, if i buy it from him can i still add complete care to it by any chance or am i stuck with the 3 year in hom on site that is on it already? i mainly want the accidental coverage on it..

    You should be able to upgrade your warranty when you transfer ownership of the laptop (Dell has a form for that which you'll need to fill out).

    From what I have read on the forums, the only time you can get the complete care is at the time of purchase. You might want to call Dell to confirm this. I know you can upgrade the warranty, but i'm not sure about the accident protection. I might be wrong.

    i mean it has 3 year in home service now.. not sure if i really need complete care the only thing that will add for me is the accidental coverage correct??

    okay well i bought it.. has anyone been able to squeak by and get complete care from dell after the 21 days?? is there any specific method to trying to get this??

    I thought I remember reading somewhere on the forum that people added complete care after they purchased their laptop.

    it has to be within 21 days in the USA, and at time of purchase in the UK.

    that sucks so no way i can do it??? man i guess i should have bought a different system instead of this one.. then i prob could have added it man that really sucks.. i can try my luck anyway maybe ill get lucky..

    I added complete care a couple of months after I got my 1420. It cost $119 for three years. I`m not sure if not being the original buyer would exclude you from this add on. Hope this helps
