I will be ordering a dell xps m1330 soon and i have been eying the alpine white one. is the alpine white dell xps m1330 more prone to scratches because i have seen pictures of it and it looks glossy.

I noticed that the 9 cell is the same price as the 6 cell right now, i want to get the 6 cell but it will delay my order up to 2 weeks and i want it quick. also the 9 cell is the same price as the 6 cell and i will get longer battery life but my only problem is that the battery sticks out does that bother any of you guys? and how long does the 9 cell last just using word, and watching a 45 min video saved on my hard drive. Same question goes for the 6 cell. oh and what is the actual weight of the xps with a led screen and the 9 cell i have talked with dell support everybody gives different answers the guy today told me it would be 4.1lbs i doubt it.

I have the Alpine white, and it is glossy, and does not show scratches after 8 months of ownership, but I really baby mine a lot, so if you are a power user who carries it everywhere I cant say how the scratches will be for you.

I have both the 6 cell and 9 cell battery. The 6 cell is a lot nicer when on the go. It is much lighter, and less bulky than the 9 cell. I prefer the 9 cell while at home though. I carry both when on the go just in case. The 9 cell seems to last at least 45 minutes longer I would guess....Right now with the LED dimmed 2 clicks it says I have an estimated 6 hours and 8 minutes of battery life remaining on a fully charged battery (3 to 3 1/2 hours is more realistic though)

My scales aren't very accurate by any means, but I just weighed it on a food scale and a bathroom scale, and both are showing about 4.5 LBS

Also, I bought the travel charger which imho is a MUST have item. It has all the attachments for car/plane/home etc etc and has a small pouch as a carrying case...check it out.

    Hope this helped

You can always get a 6 cell at a later date if you don't like the 9 cell.
