This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    another clicking issue - what is your advice?

    hi. while i initially thought i'd managed to get an m1330 without any problems, i'm getting irritated by the clicking noise that it makes. it seems to be coming from the hard drive, but isn't necessarily caused by the hard drive being accessed. it happens almost like clockwork, even when i'm just scrolling down these forums. it clicks every 3-5 seconds or so, and then it won't click at all (like now....). it's not crazy, but you can imagine how infuriating it is when you think it's stopped clicking altogether and... *click*
