i wish the keyboard was like a mac or envy keyboard. my keyboard has so much that falls inbetween the keys or on the edges of the keys them self. I am not a dirty person but i have dust and what not all around.

I agree. I love the mac keyboard, I type so much faster on those designs.

All laptops need to convert to that style.

XPS M1330 keyboard was really crap. But yeah Envy looks nice. Better looking than the old Macs, as good looking as the newer MBPs.

Argh. Sony popularized the chiclet style keyboards, consarn it!

Also really I can take it or leave it - I certainly don't type faster on one keyboard vs another and I blow it out with compressed air pretty regularly, sooooo.

My M1330's keyboard was a really decent one. The replacement laptop M1330 came with a plastic-ish cr@p while the original one had a metal-like feeling.

I don't mind the keyboard design on my 1647 (love that it's backlit). It's easy to type on so I'm good. I try to keep it as clean as I can. (The keyboard design on the 1530 was really nice also w/that metallic feel to it).

Yes, exactly! So, when people say "Mac Style" they really mean "Sony Style"

Yeah, I'm disappointed Dell hasn't adopted that keyboard yet. Not sure why they haven't bothered yet...
