should be around 5000 3Dmark06, what sort of games do you have in mind? because the ATI on the sxps 16 is mid-range, which will work with all of the recent games, but you might have to lower the resolution a bit.

yes, it should do the job. The gpu is plenty powerful for a if you'll be using it as a business computer but i warn you that the battery life is not that great because of the dedicated gpu.

thanks for the repy luke , i am rarely of the mains anyways so the battery is not too important to me, although i do like power efficiency !

if its able to play games perhaps its time i gave some a go ,i played crysis on my mates pc and that wasnt bad but i know that game kills systems

i take it the ati card in the studio wouldnt do very well with crysis ?

what desktop card is it most similar so i can find reviews to compare it to as i cant seem to find reviews where people tested games its really just 3dmark results i can see which dont give me real game performance

ok i found this on another thread:
but if i was you, i would wait, they are upgrading the graphics card from a 3xx series to a 4xx which is all the difference IMO

here is the "upgrade" thread : http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=382817

oh and right now there are so many xps 16 threads here in NBR, you only need to look close enough :D ( found this info on the front page of the xps forum lol )
