    battery failure state

    I was palying a game, was on battery and then plugged in the ac adapter and now the battery icon keeps flashing orange and white :confused:
    Is my battery failing or something, just received this laptop(xps l502x) yesterday :confused:

    It's fixed, maybe I shouldn't play games on battery..

    you should try it one more time just to see if it happens again..playing games on battery should not be the excuse..I feel

    It also said temporary failure state and the battery was really hot, I think it was due heat. I took the battery out for 30 minutes and then put it back in, worked fine. I will try again later.

    Yeah. I had the laptop out in the hot sun for a couple hours, then brought the laptop inside and it started doing that. Let the battery cool off and you'll be just fine. Though if the battery is getting that hot, check ventilation etc. when you're discharging the battery as heavily as a game would.
