Recently my GPU got fried on my m1330 XPS and luckily Dell replaced my mobo for free with an on site technician (was 6 months past the 2 year + 1 year limited warranty).
However, now I've been having some major booting problems recently. Turning on the first time in a day is always fine but after shutting it down once when I try to turn it back on the screen is just black and I need to shutdown - reboot like 10 times with the power button before I can get the dell post screen to come up.
Anyone know what could be causing this? Been searching around and haven't found any solutions.
p.s. Also done the copper mod + AS5 on it once I got the new mobo and the temps are pretty decent now. ~50-53 GPU / 45 CPU

Commander Wolf can i haz broadwell?
Can you get a picture on an external display even when you get nothing on the internal display? I have a feeling the GPU is going again, but it might be something like a bad inverter or backlight... does it run normally once you get a picture on the internal display?

Ok tried it today. Boots up fine the first time. I restarted from the login screen - black screen with just the numlock led and power led on. Plugged in an external lcd and nada on it.
Once I get it on though, it can run for hours fine with no errors/blue screens.
It's only when I shutdown and try to start it up again where I get problems.
