Hi. I am about to buy a used xps m1330 off craigslist. I can save about $350 this way. I've been reading around and found out that there are several problems regarding this laptop. My question is, what should I look for when I check out the laptop to see if it does have those problems or not?

get integrated graphics if you don't game. if you want something that will game, the 1330 is a terrible choice anyways. no good performance and the gpu melts, so lame... is it under warranty? don't buy one without a warranty...

Unfortunately, it comes with the 8400 video card. I won't be doing any gaming but I will be watching 720p/1080p mkv videos though. As for the warranty, I am not sure if it comes with it or not. Can I just purchase the warranty from dell separately?

don't buy one with the 8400, it is 100% disappointing. without a warranty it is just silly. why take a chance. once the warranty expires from dell, there is no more, other options, i dont know. the savings you will get is nothing if it is a paperweight in 6 months.

Thanks for all the feedbacks so far. One more question though, is there any way I can check to know 100% if there is warranty or not on the laptop?

Ask for the service tag, and look it up on the Dell web-site.
