Hi I have seen that the gt525 can be overclocked to 550m speeds but can't find any info about doing this in the 15z. Can it be undervolted and slightly overclocked? Or just best to leave it alone?

    Thanks

If you use the modded bioses someone has created on this forum and make sure you computer has decent ventilation, you may be able to do an overclock. I am unsure about 550M speeds, but at least a little. The 15z has pretty poor heating management, so be careful.

Thanks for the reply. I think rather than overclocking I am more interested in undervolting to get the gpu running cooler. Is there any guide on this forum as I couldn't find one and although I have found various posts elsewhere I always find the info on this site the best so would prefer to get advice here.

If your laptop's cooling is up to the job (unlikely in a 15z) AND if you get lucky and your GPU can overclock easily, yes it can be achieved. I find MSI's Afterburner is pretty good.

If you can overclock your card with undervolting the card...you'll get higher framerates and it'll run cooler...if it is stable. The most extreme overclocks need higher voltage, your mileage may vary.
