    i am just wondering if i can send laptop back to dell to upgrade the processor? or can a processor be changed as easy as the RAM can be changed

    Processor is easily replaced. The same compartment which you open to add/change memory is opened. Then you just remove the heatsink to reveal the CPU.

    Yup. I have a M1530 (but nothing really different in the procedure), and just did it today. Took me about 10 minutes.
