Hey all!
I am running windows 7 beta.. Now, when i close the lid, the computer is going to a sleep mode (all the lights turn off, the vents turn off etc)
But, when defined in the power plan to put the computer to sleep say after 5 minutes nothing happens.
I've looked around a little and discovered that if i run :
i'd get the following output :Code:powercfg -a
can you guys with m1730 confirm you get the same output ?Code:The following sleep states are available on this system: Standby ( S3 ) Hibernat e Hybrid Sleep The following sleep states are not available on this system: Standby (S1) The system firmware does not support this standby state. Standby (S2) The system firmware does not support this standby state.
Are you able to configure it to be put to sleep ?
BTW - i've checked no device is interfering with the sleep.
Thanks!

This is a Windows 7 issue. Going into sleep mode has been hit or miss on my Thinkpad. If I run the same command you did I get the same output. Google "Windows 7 sleep mode" and you will see many people having similar issues. RC1 in April will hopefully fix this.
