on NBA live 08, before my reinstall of vista on my 1530, i played it and it was extremely smooth and all is well. but after my recent reinstall of vista, i tried playing it and it is so choppy that i cannot even play it. I am running a m8600gt on 175.97. i know i had another driver version installed when i was playing the game smoothly, i just forgot which version it was. can anybody give me a possible solution for this?

If you really think its got to do with the driver, you could try out the 174.31... don't know if this was the version you had before..

Oh btw, can't you just 'rollback driver' in the device manager video card settings??? I mean if you installed the 175.97 without un-installing the previous one?

Or you could try the previous version of Dell driver (I think it was the 156.63, no?).. the one they had before updating it to 175.97 on their drivers n downloads page!! See if it helps.

Did you install your chipset drivers first thing after installing the OS? Followed by other drivers and windows update stuff?

umm possiblyy.. haha.. i dont remember cause i downloaded all the drivers on the vista reinstall driver thread here and i had it all on my flashdrive and i just went through them from top to bottom. does it matter? if it does and i have to reinstall windows again...

it plays other games fine tho.. (cs, bf2)

edit: looks like running the game under admin fixed the choppyness. thanks to the people who helped!

actually hey this has happened to me too
ever since my reinstall of vista, my gaming has been a little bit choppier... even though ive updated the driver version to 174.31 and have the chipset drivers installed...

but for me, running the game as administrator didnt rly work out... any suggestions? now i did find it that when my laptop was cooler, it worked better, but otherwise, its a little bit choppier since the format...
