hi,
i'm probably going to buy a Dell laptop within the next week, when i get my redundancy money, however i'm confused on the processors.
i understand a bit about Dual core processors, and how they coinside with each other on 2 things.
but what i dont get is....
i can get a XPS m1530 - with a T9300 i think it is 2.5ghz 6MB cache with 4GB RAM, for around £800.
but there is the XPS M1730 with a 2.1GHZ 3mb cache with 2 GB ram for £1,200.
so which is the best processor for gaming? i would persume it's the top one as it's quicker.
sorry for newbie question

T9300 seem to be much better then other one, but games are more dependable on graphic card then CPU.
XPS 1530 have 15" screen and XPS 1730 have 17" screen. -
Processor is not as important as the Graphics adapter (GPU : Graphics Processing Unit) for gaming. XPS M1730 can be configured with high end 8800M GTX dual graphics cards while M1530 can only have a mid-range 8600M GT single card in it's best configuration. Concentrate more on the GPU if you are interested in gaming.
