My Dell 1505 wireless N card is a constant headache, If I hide my ssid the card detects and connects to my router but I can never access the internet. It may work sometimes but most of the time my SSID has to be on. I have tested this with two different routers and the results were the same, vista shows local access only.
I have tried using drivers from laptopvideo2go and reimaging the computer, I am now fed up and want to get a new wifi card..I have heard of people buying atheros and gigabyte minipci cards..can someone recommend me a good one? Where should I buy it from? how are the intel 3495 cards compared to the Dell 1505 wifi card?

i had before a 3495 wirelss N and works great.. but a a month ago y upgrade to a 5300 wireless and work out of the box in windows Seven RC...

if you are using vista I'm sure it gonna work to..

the good thing on the 5300 is that you have 450MBPs!!!!

    check this on ebay

    http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Intel-WiFi-Link-5300-AGN-Wireless-Mini-PCIe-Card_W0QQitemZ180355853177QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item29fe0beb79&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205|66%3A4|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1308|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A200

it's actually a good price knowing that Dell sell's the 3495 for 45 bucks...

Hmmmm, he is trying awfully hard to make it look like he is selling a genuine Intel part. Noticed he was in China, probably works just fine as some very good knock offs come from there. Check out Amazon just type in Intel WiFi Link and 3 or 4 cards should come up all about $35.

I would also like to know what a good wifi card is for this laptop. I also have the 1505N wifi card. it works .... ok... the range is awful compaired to my old laptop and friends. My friend has a ibm thinkpad with an atharos a/b/g card and can have a 50% signal where i have a 5% signal with the 1505N. Would an atharos card work in this lappy? thanks for the info.

Atharos CHIP set card will work just fine also intel 5300 WIFI card run's just sweet..
@ one stage dealer were selling engineer sample of the intel 5300 wifi cards but now most are selling retail boxed or final end product on ebay.
Just check sales feed back of the dealer before you commit yourself.
